Mail Art

I just fell in love with the artwork, graphics and stamps that went on these envelopes. It would have made me not want to rip up the envelope. The envelop itself becomes the center of information rather than what's inside it.

I came across 2 artists as well:

John Fellow:

Most of his work are screen printed or woodcuts.

Riitta Ikonen:

From 2004 to 2006 Riitta Ikonen mailed around 100 postcards to Margaret Huber from Japan, Spain, Finland, Russia, and England. “Hair, fish, a sachet of white powder, a piece of broken record etc. were sent to test the postal system. Only three cards never reached their destination.” This is another portfolio that deserves your full attention. - BOOOOOOOM website (http://www.booooooom.com/2008/09/11/riitta-ikonen/)
